Comment: Magnificent course and its in great shape. A LOT of courses are struggling with maintenance this time of year - but the management here has it together. I played alone (for a few holes) and the staff couldnt have been more accommodating. A cart was brought right to my vehicle, the guy who checked me in (Dan) was wonderful. I couldnt have been more happy.

Comment: We booked a tee time for a twosome on 5 June 2022. We arrived about 40 mins before our tee time and checked in at the pro shop. We were greeted by the clerk/manager and we paid and we were on the range within 5 minutes. The range was in fair condition with decent grass to hit from. We worked our way to the putting green, and the ball seemed to roll o.k., but slow. Our overall perception was good so far as we headed to the snack shack on the way to the first tee. Here is a bit of advice, make sure to stock up on beverages, since there isnt a cart girl. The woman running the snack shack was very friendly, so make sure to tip her after receiving your food/drinks. Also, they do provide cups, water, ice on the backside of the snack shack building. We finally headed to #1 tee box and everything was good up to this point. We both hit great shots off #1. We quickly caught the twosome in front of us, but they continued at a leisurely pace, so we didnt push them. After 9, we stopped at the snack shack to reload, and we didnt have to wait very long and we were off to #10 tee box. We conveniently must of passed the twosome and sent our drives down the fairway to start the back nine. After about 3 holes in, we caught a 5 some, but the played fairly quickly- so no complaints here. Overall, the tee boxes are in fair shape, some better than others! The fairways were good, but showed some weeds in some spots. The greens were still recovering for aeration, and were still a little bumpy and sloooow.I like the course layout and I will be back after the greens are fully recovered!One last thing is the continual air show you get to enjoy as the planes fly all day.I will definitely be back!

Comment: Diamond in the rough. Really enjoyed the total experience today 12-26-21. Conditions of greens were firm, true roll, not bumpy. Only a couple greens had some invasive grasses. Very playable layout. Pro shop staff and lunch shack staff very accommodating. New carts. Will definitely play again when in the area.

Comment: One of my favorite golf courses; the landing strip makes it a novel place to golf. The community has homes in every price range with some having their own hangars attached. This is one of the few “truly gated” communities, that I’m aware of, around.The golf course is usually in great condition.My only complaint has been some of the odd rules, such as only allowing non members five plays per year. I can only think this has had an adverse effect on cash flow. However, I understand this rule has been suspended. We have a group of 8-12 (depending on the time of year), and we’ll probably play Spruce Creek more in 2020.

Comment: The golf course is the best in the area Ive heard from the golfer that come there repeatedly. No drink cart, and the bar is only open during events. Bring water. There is a restaurant named the Downwind Cafe around the corner from the country club. Many people go there, and like watching planes taxi by heading to the runway for takeoff. You can dine inside, or out. Open air seating with comfy outdoor furniture. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
