Two years ago it felt like some rec center for senior citizens that I really didnt want to go to. However after the new owner took it over, it actually feels like a place you want to go and workout! Comment: My wife and I have been going to PAC for about a year now. We are not fanatics but do try to go 3 times a week. My wife attends some of the classes like Zumba and I just use the weight machines. We enjoy it and its actually the most affordable gym in the area. At times it gets busy but Im always able to get in a quality workout every time I go to PAC. Helpful staff, great assortment of equipment, even a pretty good selection of supplies such as clothing and supplements. They do have outdoor activities like basketball, pickleball, tennis and a pool but Ive never used them. Overall a great experience and we will continue to go.

Comment: Back in 2014 I started going to the PAC. At that time, I was very overweight and struggling with my health. Slowly but surely I did lose a good amount of weight and got back in shape. This is not like an ordinary gym. It is like a community. The people here are kind/respectful and everyone is in a good mood. This place has the best atmosphere if you are trying to get back in shape or just looking for somewhere to belong. I will say that I have not been for a bit yet I do still belong and have a key fob. My reason for taking off was because I was sick with different things and had tons of dental work (wasnt allowed to do strenuous activities). The new owners have definitely went above and beyond to add new equipment and freshen up the building. Have to compliment on that. When I went to the PAC in 2014, it wasnt updated but now it is very sleek and modern. Love the sauna, the pool, and all of the offerings here. All of the people in charge are kind/considerate and care. It is their attitude that stood out to me. Have not met the new owners officially but from what I see every time I drive by and look at the building/parking lot, they are doing a good job. Thank you.

Comment: Tried this gym out on black Friday. $10 day pass isnt bad at all. This facility offers inside and outside fitness areas. Basketball and tennis courts. Pool. Mens and womens locker rooms have showers and dry sauna. I side the weight rooms were a little tight for the amount of equipment they have however they have all the equipment you could possibly need. The deadlift area was especially nice with great padding.

Comment: Being consistent at the gym has never been easier. Moving to Pensacola was my first experience moving away from my hometown, it was daunting to leave behind all of my friends and family. It takes time to make friends in new places and I knew the first few months would be hard. But, I quickly found friendly faces at Pensacola Athletic Center. The staff remembered my name after my first visit, always make a point to say hello/goodbye and make conversation in passing. Little did they know, this carried me through some of my more lonely months. In addition to staff, I quickly made friends with a lot of fellow athletes and gym goers & after a month of attending regularly, being consistent was never easier. I looked forward to hard workouts and pushing myself as that is the culture here. Ive never quite felt like I had a gym home like this one. Were moving again in a couple of months and this has become the hardest place to say goodbye to. I even broke my elbow a few months ago and I continued to show up on all of my regular days just to do what I could. I knew I could rely on my peers to help me load weight onto machines, and I was right, people were quick to offer a hand.Oh - and the gym is really nice. There are 4 racks accompanied with deadlift platforms that are rarely all full, when they are, the wait is never too long. Theyve renovated it since Ive joined and hosted plenty of events. Theyve slowly rolled new equipment in to replace old equipment. & the gym is never completely packed. There are times its busier, but never unbearable.

Comment: The Pensacola Athletic Center is the BEST gym in Pensacola, not only because of their facilities and equipment, but also for the AMAZING community! Last November when I moved back to Pensacola from Seattle, I needed to find a gym and ultimately decided to join PAC because of its all-inclusive amenities (including pool, sauna, pickle ball/tennis courts, outside workout area, and fitness classes). Little did I know that I would meet some of the awesome people Ive ever met in my life, including staff and clientele. The new owners, Shawn and Katie, truly care about their patrons and do everything they can to ensure that the facilities is in tip-top shape with the best equipment. Words cannot begin to describe how amazing the staff is as well, such as managers Matt & Jess, Rubi, Poncho, and everyone else! Ive also been working with personal trainer, Ashley Kitt, and she has elevated my fitness and athletic performance beyond comprehension. I highly recommend Ashley if you are looking for a personal trainer because she is dedicated to getting you results, will get you motivated, and of course, she is an amazing person to work with! And of course, I highly recommend PAC all around!

Comment: I’ve been a member here for a few years now and thought I’d update my review now that there’s a change in ownership.The facility is a great one already, but with the new changes and new equipment this gym is taking it up a notch and starting to look like a brand new place.The environment is always energetic and there’s real community within the gym. The staff is always helpful and friendly and is more hands on now than with the former owner. Jessica and Matt at the front desk are both very kind and always welcoming. The trainers are all very knowledgeable as well.I’ve seen the new owner around more in the last few months than I’ve ever seen the previous owner, and he’s always very friendly. He’s got some great ideas he’s bringing to the gym, and really is making changes to push the philosophy as “fitness is a way of life”. There was recently a seminar he hosted and presented, collaborated with another member who is a dr, and they presented some great information to use outside of the gym. It’s great to see he’s taking time to get to know his members and further push building a community by involving them in gym events.Highly recommend checking this place out! Great space, 24/7 access, equipment for just about anything you’re trying to do, and great people to be around.

One of the instructors, Chris Why, was especially helpful with lots of tips and endless encouragement. The facility is very clean with a great staff!! To be quite honest with you coming from Lifetime Fitness, I didnt know what to expect. I did my research on gyms in the area and saw that Pensacola Athletic Center got a lot of positive reviews. I checked out the IG page and decided that it was worth paying a visit. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a welcoming smile. If there is one outstanding quality that the PAC has, is that the quality of the staff and customer service is top notch. Im originally from up north and got a heavy dose of southern hospitality. I felt that I was not only welcomed into the gym but into the city of Pensacola itself. This is now a place that Im now proud to call my home. Kudos to the team at Pensacola Athletic Center 👏

He then talked to me about baseball and talked to me about a team I could play with since I’ve been wanting to play again. Great place to work out at, really good equipment. Good gym for bodybuilding and just about any kind of athletic training. And if you’re looking to talk baseball or get a pickup game of any kind going, Max is your guy. Solid dude 10/10

Comment: My family and I began at PAC a little over a year ago. It is the best small town feel gym ever! The front desk staff is warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. PAC has everything you could want in a gym (tennis courts, classes free to members, basketball courts, pickleball, childcare, swimming, personal training, weight/cardio room, chiropractic services, tanning) and more! I recently had a baby and wanted a jump start on health and exercise so I wanted to work with a personal trainer. Tay Clarke is who I chose and I couldnt be happier! She truly knows her stuff and is compassionate and patient. Tay is kind enough to go above and beyond expectations. She worked around my schedule, went at my own pace, and helped me reach a few fitness goals in just a few sessions! She also found strength in me that I didnt know I had! Moving forward in my fitness journey I now have more confidence and know-how after working with her. I highly recommend you visit this gym and dont forget to give Tay a shout while youre there!

The managers are the most friendly and energetic people I have ever encountered. The trainers also give you exactly what you ask and you develop a bond and friendship with them as well if you stick with it. This facility not only has a great vibe but will meet all your needs from group classes, tennis and pickle ball, swim lessons, pick up basketball, sauna and tanning bed. Best part is they have a chiropractor on site if you need an adjustment. See “Bones” she is a magician. Overall this is a family feel, a great place to let off steam and develop friendships. I highly recommend this gym to anyone and even though it’s small it’s the quality of the place not the quantity.

Comment: PAC is like family! I’ve been a member over 3 years and can’t imagine going anywhere else. I also started training with Taylor Clarke for the past 6 weeks. She is a joy to work with as well as highly educated on the latest in workouts and technique. She constantly challenges me. I can honestly say I’ve never worked out harder in my life and am actually losing FAT!!🙌🏻

Comment: This gym has everything you need no matter what type of workout your looking for. Free weight area, machine area, a crossfit/functional room, treadmills and ellipticals... Literally everything. Plus as long as youre respectful to the other members, there are no rules to worry about like at planet fitness or other lame gyms like that. Its a big gym with a small town gym feel, and the staff is awesome. Hands down the best gym Ive been a member of.

Comment: Living across the street makes this gym the perfect location for me! Overall, the gym is always clean, the equipment is in great condition and the gym has a variety of everything, from equipment to classes, you would need for every fitness goal. Since I’ve joined, I’ve worked with their personal trainer,Taylor Clarke, who has been absolutely amazing in teaching me so many different things while getting me stronger, faster and in overall better shape! Strongly recommend to anyone.

Comment: My husband has been a member since about Sept 2017 and we recently upgraded to a family membership, which was long overdue. The manager Max is so friendly and remembers us on a first name basis, greeting us every time we step foot inside. Our three young children love kids zumba, childcare, and the pool. Its been the best recent investment for us. Thanks to the PAC being so close to home, being clean, and providing everything we need to improve our health.. we thank God for you!

Comment: Really awesome gym. They seem to be always updating equipment, bringing in new carpet, or just fixing up the place. I thoroughly enjoy the fact that they keep it so clean that it doesnt smell like a sweaty gym. The child care is great. My 18 month old has a lot of fun which makes it so much easier to get a good work out in knowing shes having fun as well. Parking can be a little tight when its busy but Ive never not had a place to park. The staff is super helpful and really nice. Well worth the price.

My only concern if that is I wish the saunas got hotter faster maybe its just me and it would be awesome if they installed a swim shorts wringer machine.
