Comment: My first clinic and I was delighted. I came away with several tips, including proper form for both forehand and backhand shots, paddle technique at the NVZ, where to stand at the base line when serving (Center? Left? Right?), and an easy way to add variety to my serves. Bob covered all this and more in a 4 person clinic in an hour, and I bet we each came away with our own areas to focus on for improvement. Much appreciated Bob!

We learned a tremendous amount in the hour class and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Bob is a fabulous teacher and helped us learn forehand, backhand, dinks, serves, scoring, and strategies. He is patient and clearly very knowledgeable and made the skills easy to practice. He also has various classes so we can schedule our advanced beginner class shortly, with intermediate to follow. We worked on serves, dinking, third shot drops, blocks and even dink-lobs. Having coached soccer for years at a high level I can attest to his teaching ability and style. Bob is clear and precise..and moves at a cadence that is perfectly timed for learning and yet moves through the different stages. Comment: Bob is an excellent instructor. My wife and I went for beginner lessons and over the course of an hour Bob had us up an running. We were able to serve and volley and become familiar with all the most common types of shots needed for a beginner. He even showed us the proper racquets best suited for a beginner. We will definitely schedule additional lessons.

He showed me how to serve the ball, how to hold my paddle, where and how to place my feet and body to connect with the ball properly, the different positions on the court while playing and how to relax and slow down because timing is very important when hitting the ball. There is a lot to learn and remember. It was a good experience and I had alot of fun. Looking forward to more lessons. Thank you Bob!!!

Comment: The low ratio is the key. It was nice to get corrections to strokes (forehand, backhand, dinks...) right away before getting into bad habits as well as strategy - where to be on the court. Robert also gave me tips on how to serve better even though I was getting the ball in from the first try that I wouldnt have been aware of if I hadnt taken the beginners clinic.

Comment: Had my 2nd Beginners Class today with Bob, a wonderful Pickleball teacher. His classes are both fun and productive. He only teaches 4 people at a time so everyone gets attention. Met some really nice, friendly women who I hope to see again. The sport isnt easy but practice makes perfect! Bob is encouraging enough to make you go back again and again!

Comment: A shout-out to Robert Savar! When it comes to teaching pickleball - he ROCKS!!! I love his teaching style. Savar offers great drills and great pointers! His cutsy catchy phrases make things easier to remember (when my brain is functioning). I feel like I have improved 100 fold since I joined the meetup clinics with him as my instructor. I just ordered his new book on pickleball and cant wait to start reading it. I will definitely be signing up for more classes with him. And in case youre wondering..... we are not related, lol. I just was lucky enough to initially sign up for his meetup group!
