Comment: Great course!! Arnold Palmer design with lots of character. Used a lot of the natural landscape to carve out the holes. Well maintained, with friendly staff. Won’t find a better public course in the area, would expect to pay more for what you get. Got a chance to talk with the club Pro, who is as able to give great insight to how the course lays and plays. Will be back.

Chris the manager is on top of things keeps a tight ship and things going just like they should .. The restaurant staff is great cook amazing food and very clean … the bartenders are professional and great and nice. The golf cart guys woody and nick are great fast and friendly and quick on service very professional.. This is a must to visit to enjoy a full days of golfing and fun and then refresh in the cool air of the restaurant.. and a few beverages to go along with it.. Highly recommend !!!!!!!

The greens were fine but fairways and rough were worse then Florida winter conditions. The cost for what was a twilight rate was also, in general, too expensive.

I played a full round with a friend and aside from losing balls due to narrow fairways, most greens had a very carpet-like grass to them, not weedy at all or full of unkept divot marks.

Comment: Great golf course and the people are even better. I was here on vacation with my wife and we played this course, Perdido, and Tiger Pointe and Lost Key was in the best shape of the three. It was also the hardest of the three courses. Narrow fairways with a lot of Par 4’s that make you think about your shot. Hit a driver and have to carry 280 or hit an iron first shot and have a 180-200 shot in to the green. The greens played true as well. This is a sandy course so not very forgiving if you chunk an iron shot. My wife and I enjoyed this course and the staff. We would definitely recommend as a must play when in the area.

Comment: Course is in AMAZING shape especially compared to last summer (but the greens are ALWAYS GOOD here) which was so dry, and after the hurricane damage this fall. The staff has worked so hard repairing the irrigation issues. Every tee box that was dirt last summer is literally perfect now and the greens are IMMACULATE, consistent and blemish free. Best value and best staff anywhere. Kudos to the greens staff they really are the best. You will NOT find a course in NW florida in better shape in the summer.

But who doesnt love a good challenge. The staff were VERY friendly. I didnt catch the guys name but we started on the last tee time. He waited on us and was still super friendly!!! I wish I knew his name but to whomever worked yesterday afternoon was a true asset to this course.

Be warned though, not for beginner golfers, if youre not in the fairway, your ball is gone. So if youre a golfer who only plays on vacation or whatever, may want to look elsewhere for a course thats a bit easier.

Comment: Excellent layout, but is a “target golf” course. I personally loved the layout. The greens were near perfect and the absolute best I’ve seen on the coast, bar none. Fairways were in excellent shape, but many holes were very tight. Goid practice facility. Staff was courteous and helpful, especially the starter. I enjoyed more than Kiva Dunes.

Taking into consideration the grass from tee to green is dormant, the greens are near perfect. 1 to 10, I would rate them a 9.5. The best Ive played in years. Fair price and great hospitality...... Today, Jan.27, 2020 was probably the last time Ill play Lost Key. Next year Ill be wintering elsewhere. Sure going to miss playing this wonderful course. Still my favorite challenging golf course in Florida.

Comment: I played there on Friday the 13th, Sept., 2019.The GolfNow Hot Deal price was very low, which is good, & the course was great.It was in great condition.Greens were very good.Fairways were also good.Pace was great.Staff was nice.Some staff member brought a cart to me shortly after I arrived.The cart was good, & the seat was cushy.Great scenery at the course and outside near the course.Good location.Good place to practice golf.Range balls were included, which I like.The driving range was good & long with natural turf, not mats.The practice putting green was good and large with about 8 holes.A good practice bunker with lots of sand was by the practice green.A chipping area was by the green, too.If you’re not an accurate golfer and you hit far left or far right regularly and you want to avoid losing golf balls, consider playing elsewhere. Easy to lose balls on this course. I lost some, but I also found some.If you want to test yourself, consider playing at this course.I recommend playing there.I usually don’t rate a golf club 5 stars, but I’m rating this one 5 stars.

Comment: Nice course in the off season. Greens in great shape. Cart service running as well. Pace of play was right about four hours and we teed off after lunch and got 18 in by dark in February. Bunkers can be played out of, dont hit any woods. They are all swamp areas. Definitely will come back to play again.

Comment: Great customer service and beautiful course. Condition of the course was super and greens were slow. Pace of play was OK, some waiting. Very challenging course for me as an average weekend duffer. Lots of hazards and easy to go out of bounds. Bring some extra balls as any off line shots will likely result in a ball that can not be retrieved. I left there feeling pretty bad about my game overall. Driving range was free and nice as well. Full Pro Shop.
