Comment: Ive been member many clubs. Harbour has super nice folks & all level players. The courts are fantastic. As nice as any private club Ive played on. Which is many. Rich & Marie are good people w good pros and I recommend Harbour Island tennis.

Comment: What an amazing place. The courts are Beautiful the staff is very nice. There is a lot of dedication put to the tennis center. I would rate this a 10/10 because playing is a different feeling the courts are maintain very well I have been to many clay courts and this is the best, to play, the feeling and etc.

Comment: I have been fortunate enough to learn tennis at Harbour Island and everyone there has been gracious and kind to help foster the growth of this new learner. Private lessons with Shelby have built my confidence on the court and got my heart rate up! My health and game have benefited. League play has afforded me the chance to play on all of the local courts, and these clay courts are the decidedly the best in the area.

Comment: Harbour Island Tennis Centre is the only place I can imagine going to play. Not just because of their perfectly maintained clay courts or their tennis pros Ivo and Shelby (absolute top notch instructors), but because of the relaxed, stress free, just-have-fun attitude of the owners Rich and Marie and their members. Its truly like family over there and they make everyone feel welcomed from the very first time you go. I even go just to hang out.. You really should give it a try, you will LOVE it..

Comment: Harbour Island Tennis has become my oasis, my stress reliever, my familys social center and exercise facility. The members are super friendly and fun. Theres tennis for all levels. Literally novice to 4.5 level.And if you enjoy clay courts then let me talk about the courts at Harbour Island. Theres none better. These are the best. Ive been playing since age 5 (grew up in Florida) and Ive never seen courts this good. Watered from underneath. Every single time you step onto the court for a clinic a lesson or a match theyre groomed and smooth. Which means the ball bounces true and you dont have to deal with crazy bounces on beat up courts like is so common at other clubs. Plus there are net dividers between the courts so youre almost never calling let because a ball from another court interrupts play. And finally, the courts are larger than regulation (or seem that way compare to other local courts) so youre never hitting the fence/screen when youre chasing down a ball. The owners invest heavily in the courts and the members maintain them because we appreciate what we have.The head pro Ivo is incredible. He has almost unlimited patience for teaching clinics and lessons. He has a way of teaching that shows and shares his love for tennis. And hes incredibly skilled. If you think youre at the top of the pack then step out on the court with Ivo and youll get all the challenge you need and more. In fact there are high level adults that plan their entire vacations around lesson time with Ivo. They travel here just to hit with him. But whats incredible about Ivo is that he will treat a 3.0 and a 4.5 exactly the same. If you love the sport then he wants to make sure you have an awesome time at the club.If youre local I recommend you call up and come out on a Wednesday social night. Why call? So theyll know youre coming and make sure they introduce you around.With this glowing review you might expect I think everyone should play at Harbour Island. Actually its not for everyone.Heres who will NOT like Harbour Island: If you enjoy a traditional (stuffy) country club atmosphere with elitism and snobbery then this is not the club for you. I grew up in that kind of club in Miami and by contrast this is a breath of fresh air.Harbour Island is the place to enjoy tennis on the best clay courts around (maybe in all of North Florida) with cool fun people that youll soon consider family.Hope to see you soon.
